Mumbai- Salman Khan was put behind bars after being caught red handed for killing a chinkara and a blackbuck in 2 different incidents—the first being on 26th September 1998 in the suburbs of Jodhpur followed by the next two days later on 28th September at Ghoda Farms.

This incident took place when Salman was shooting for Hum Saath Saath Hain under the prestigious banner of the Yash Raj Films. Salman Khan and 7 others were found guilty under Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
The superstar was granted bail after spending 3 nights at the Jodhpur Central Jail. This case has once again re-opened. This Tuesday, B.L. Sharma, District and Sessions Judge stated that a regular hearing of the case will take place from 20thSeptember onwards where Salman will have to appear at the court.
Salman’s counsels failed to convince the court against Salman’s appearance in court. Judge Sharma stated that it is mandatory for Salman to be physically present at the court while listening to his appeal as it is a case of sentence suspension.
Following this the superstar will appear in the court for the first time with regards to the appeal which had been filed on 9th March, 2006.
