Mumbai- Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently in Patna for the promotion of Aarakshan expressed his disappointment via micro-blogging site Twitter.
With a heavy heart he tweeted that their trip to Lucknow tomorrow for the promotion of the film has been cancelled following Uttar Pradesh administration’s withdrawal of permission for conducting the promo in the city.
They are not permitted to enter the city as it is a sensitive issue. He further added that the next destination for promoting their film is the capital city of Delhi.
Prakash Jha confessed that Aarakshan is not a political film but it deals with the significance of higher education in India today and that it has already been approved by the Censor Board.
The film will hit theatres on 12th August.
