Mumbai- 68 year old megastar Amitabh Bachchan regrets that acting in the remake of Sholay was a big mistake. The remake titled Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag was released in 2007.
The film was directed by Ram Gopal Varma and in the film Big B essayed the role of a villain. The remake of Big B’s legendary film tanked at the box-office and was criticized by critics.
Interacting with the media during the promotion of his latest home production Bbuddha Hoga Tera Baap, he stated that he should not have been a part of the remake of Sholay.
It was a mistake. He feels that a remake can never be equivalent to the original.
He signed off stating that his goal in life was to become a good artist who will be appreciated by his fans and audiences and will also be successful to keep his family content.
