Mumbai- Actor Raja Chaudhary has been released on bail after being produced in the Bandra court last Tuesday. He was arrested by the Oshiwara police on Monday on grounds of forgery and cheating.
For procuring a SIM card, he had submitted documents of an apartment of the building in which Shraddha Sharma, his girlfriend resides.
A resident of Castle Tower, Mehul Kansaria lodged a police complaint against Raja accusing him of getting a connection in his name but submitting his girlfriend’s address for billing correspondence.
In the past two months Mehul had received two mobile bills in the name of Chaudhary. Fearing that Chaudhary may misuse his phone he lodged a complaint.
The police then arrested Raja Chaudhary on grounds of forgery. Police is making further enquiry and are collecting the documents that he had submitted for procuring the SIM.
Police have also gathered information against Chaudhary on several other grounds from various police stations in suburb.
The police officials revealed that they had faced a difficult time handling Raja Chaudhary inside the custody as he has a tendency of turning hostile during the questioning.
U D Kadlak, Inspector at Oshiwara Police Station stated “Sharma and the complainant stay in the same building. We are probing as to how he managed to forge the documents and procured the SIM card.”
