Mumbai- Following the controversy with respect to the lyrics of a song in Rohan Sippy’s Dum Maaro Dum, Abhishek Bachchan gets defensive about Deepika Padukone’s raunchy item number.

Recently, buzz was in the air that Abhishek was a little insecure about the item number in Dum Maaro Dum featuring Deepika Padukone.
At the same time, he had requested filmmaker Rohan Sippy to make a promotional music video based on his character in the film that of ACP Kammat and that is how Thayn Thayn was made.
Stating them to be rumors, Abhishek said that he went gaga over Deepika’s raunchy item number. Defending the lyrics of the song the actor stated, “We have 1.20 billion people in India and all can’t like the song.”
He said further, “But the fact is it’s topping all radio charts and playing everywhere including night clubs, which means the youth have connected and loved the track. It’s doing extremely well and I am very happy with the response that Deepika’s number has got.”
Rohan Sippy stated, “We always wanted a song for Abhishek’s character even before we had thought of Deepika’s item number.”
But unlike in Bluffmaster where the character had a lot of flair and flamboyance, the character of ACP Kamat was not an easy one to crack. So we kept it on backburner.
He added “Then one day (lyricist) Jaideep Sahni called and came up with this idea of Thayn Thayn which caught up with me instantly. It had a certain musical quality to it.”
