Mumbai- The latest buzz in tinsel town is that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is likely to play the female lead opposite Sanjay Dutt in the remake of “Satte Pe Satta”.
The film will be produced by Sanjay Dutt’s production house. The story of the film revolves around seven brothers who live on a large farmhouse.
Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini played the lead role in the original film. A source stated “Dutt is extremely keen that we sign Aishwarya to play the female lead opposite him.”
The source said further, “He is adamant that only Ash fits the role. The actress is keen on the idea of doing the film if everything else works out.”
The source added “The script writer along with the director of Satta Pe Satta, Soham Shah, will fly down to New Zealand next week to give her a story narration.”
The source added, “Ash is holidaying there with husband Abhishek, who is shooting in Wellington for Abbas-Mastan’s Players, along with Sonam Kapoor.”
Sanjay and Ash had earlier worked together in films like “Hum Kisise Kum Nahin” and “Shabd”.
