Mumbai: Delivering the biggest hit of the year “Dabangg”, Salman is flooded with awards. “Dabangg” not only hit the box-office but made a place for itself in numerous award nominations.
But despite this honor, Salman is following Aamir’s footsteps and is in no mood to collect the awards himself.
A close friend of Salman stated “Salman bhai doesn’t care too much for all this. If his fans have liked the movie, he is happy. That is his award. Junta ka pyar bas aur kuch nahin.”
A source added “Salman is pleased at being nominated, but he can’t forget the fact that he was overlooked every year by the awards function especially when he has given a couple of memorable performances.”
The source stated further, “He thinks that the thumbs up that he has got from his audience is enough, and that he doesn’t need to collect any awards for “Dabangg.”
“Dabangg” has been nominated for several categories in the Zee Cine Awards which will take place in Singapore tonight.
These categories comprise of best actor, best director, the best international icon of the year and song of the year.
