Mumbai- ‘Guzzarish’ fails to make business at the Box Office- As far as the theater footfall and trade analysis goes, the film couldn’t even gamer a 50% opening.
The morning shows had a disastrous opening. Also the weekend didn’t see any major change in the situation.
The very aspects of the film which were the usual suspects – a surreal world, situational music and the mercy killing theme etc are grand and unconventional enough to satisfy the expectations of the ordinary mass.
The director’s focus on a group of audience has done the trick but has proved hazardous for the box office collections.
Although, lacking the entertainment quotient, screenplay, acting, the rainbow of emotions has found good remarks with critics but is yet to please the ‘aam janta’.
The collections were quite low and far lesser than the 30 crores opening weekend of ‘Kites’.
With a mere 15 crores coming in the first weekend, ‘Guzaarish’ is on a shaky ground also given to the fact that it has not still faced any competition so far, with C grade films like ‘Shahrukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu’ ,’Deewangee Ne Had Kar Di’ releasing sideways.
All the director and producer can do is wait and watch.

I think Hritik should really commit suicide now. He has giving a long string of super duper flops. As regards to Aishwarya Mataji, she has been given flops throughout long and dismal ( for the audience ) career. So that’s OK with her. She is used to it. Perhaps, she thinks she will still be a heroine when she is 50 ( after few years). After, if Sachin can make false runs on mtaches fixed by BCCI, why can’t Aishwarya Aunty be still called beautiful.
