Mumbai: Shanghai is a political thriller: Director Dibakar Banerjee’s upcoming flick “Shanghai” is a political thriller.
This film is a collaboration of Dibakar Banerjee with PVR Pictures. Talking to reporters, Dibakar stated that “Shanghai” deals with politics and not politicians.
He added “The story dwells on how people are at the receiving end of politics of violence ….emotion, feeling of it.”
Some of his films include “Khosla Ka Ghosla”, “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye” and the latest “Love Sex aur Dhokha.” The story of “Shanghai” revolves around the uncertainties of our fate.
Dibakar quoted “I come from Delhi where I feel politics is confined to the corridors of power while Mumbai is a more lively city and I feel that politics affects my daily life.” “Shanghai” is all set to hit theatres next March.
