Mumbai: Malayalam film actor and director Venu Nagavally left for his heavenly abode: Renowned film director and actor Venu Nagavally left for his heavenly abode today morning at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.

He was 61. He had been suffering for quite sometime. Family sources stated that his health worsened a week back and as a result he had to be admitted to the hospital.
He is the son of late veteran writer and broadcaster Nagavally RS Kurup. He has acted in more than 200 films, and directed about 12 movies.
Most of his films were superhits of the 90’s. He has acted in films like “Ulkkadal”, “Yavanika”, “Salini Ente Koottukari” and others. He also worked as a broadcaster in All India Radio.
His directorial hits include “Lal Salaam” which deals with the lives of the early Communist leaders of Kerala, Sukhamo Devi and Ai Auto. He is survived by his wife. Hope his soul rests in peace.
