Mumbai: We are Family Review: The much awaited film from Karan Johar starring two big actresses of Bollywood – Kajol and Kareena has hit the theatres across the country this Friday.
From those who have viewed the Hollywood movie Stepmom, the similarity is no surprise. The movie captures the life of a divorced couple Maya (Kajol) & Aman (Arjun Rampal).
While after the separation Maya‘s world completely revolves around her three kids, Aman has a new found love in the form of Shreya (Kareena).
The family is struck by the tragedy of Maya being diagnosed with a disease that ensures she will not live long enough.
The movie proceeds through the entertaining drama of myriad emotions of love, fun, dislike and grief.
The essence of the movie is the development of the plot between the two leading ladies of the movie as they moving from quarrelling foes to a somewhat meaningful acceptance.
Debutant Siddharth Malhotra does a fairly well job with We are Family. The movie is the typical Karan Johar signature movie with family as the centre point.
On a scale of 1-10 the movie easily scores a 7.
