Vancouver: The question whether the judging controversy will have any effect on the ice dance results will be in the air till Monday when the participants will perform a free dance.
If this time world champions Maxim Shabalin and Oksana Dominia lose, Russia for the very first time will leave the Winter Olympics without winning gold.
“We are trying to focus on our skating, not the other things,” said Shablin after Domnina and he won compulsories.
On the other hand Davis stated “We know that gold is within our reach”. “We know that if we go out and skate our best, we have just as good a chance as anyone else.”
Results: the first position was secured by Shabalin and Domnina (43.76 points), followed by Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue second (42.74 points), White and Davis third (41.47 points) and Agosto and Belbin forth (40.83).
