Mumbai: Famous as Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s lady love, Katrina Kaif was born in Honk Kong in 1984. She is of British-Indian origins. She has seven siblings and her family is currently based in England.
She commenced her modeling career at fourteen years of age with Models 1 Agency in London. Thereafter, while modeling she was discovered by Kaizad Gustad. The film maker offered her a role in his movie Boom which led to her debut in Bollywood in 2003.
She has acted in number Hindi films and also Malayalam and Telugu films. Sarkar and Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya both of which released in 2005 brought her fame in Bollywood.
Her film pairing with Khiladi actor Akshay Kumar has been well received by audiences in India. Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006), Namastey London (2007), Welcome (2007), Singh Is Kinng (2008) are the films in which they have been cast together.
She holds the accolade for the most searched celebrity of 2008 on Google India.
In addition, has also been awarded with the recognition of Asia’s Sexiest women in 2008. In addition, she is the face of toy company Mattel’s Bollywood Barbie.
