Mumbai: There seems to be no end in sight to the row between multiplexes and film producers.

The bone of contention is revenue sharing and multiplexes are refusing to budge. Film producers are demanding 50 per cent share in profits.

The patience of producers seems to be fast running out. UTV has now said it will go ahead with releasing its movies in single screen theatres. This means that there will be no delay in the release of the Akshay-Kareena-starrer Kambakkht Ishq. The movie was earlier scheduled for a May-end release.

According to sources, during the strike period no mega budget movies were slated for release, but as the days passed with no conclusion there is now a huge backlog of movies that are yet to see the daylight.

Earlier last month, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan held a press conference to fight for the problems the industry was facing due to the issue of profit sharing between multiplexes and producers.
